Summer Programs
Enrollment will be April 17th - May 2nd. The calendar is available along with field trip information. These three forms can be found on the registration page under forms as well as below. All forms must be completed and submitted by hard copy. There will be $30 late fee after May 2nd. The Schedule and Field trip permission and Orientation Checklist Payment Agreement (which is 2 pages) must be submitted in hard copy to be considered complete. For students that only attend in the summer, the registration fee is $50. (If you are registered for this current school year you do not need to pay that or register for the summer.) MyProcare should charge you $50 per child. Please let us know by writing Summer Only on your schedule.
Our summer program is flexible and designed to offer youth ages 5-14 as many choices as possible through activities for self-development. We offer a wide variety of activities for in-depth learning opportunities. We also go on many fun field trips!
Youth are divided into age groups for most of the day but most field trips are taken together. Tuesdays for youth ages 8 and up will be held at a different location. Parents will drop off at TVES and we will transport them at 9 am.
Activities include the areas of literacy, STEM, Social Studies, Art, Games, Sports, Music, Drama, Dance and Service.
OUR Junior Leader Program is for grades 6 and up : They participate or can help lead the above activities plus design their own program. They will have opportunities for service projects and life-skills adventures.
2024 Adventure Club Tuesdays Starting May 28th- A day program hosted on Tuesdays throughout summer to teach and practice outdoor and camping skills, social skills, and character building. There are five Tuesdays we will offer a different experience for youth entering 3rd grade in the fall (ages 8 and up) This day will be held at a different location. We will transport there in the morning at 9 am from TVES and you pick up from that location by 6 pm.
9:30am to 6 pm (instruction and structured activities from 10am - 3pm)
Ages 8 - 16 Transport to other location departs at 9 am and pick up will be from there. Behavior standards must be maintained to participate.
Learn and Practice skills to be self-sufficient in the outdoors:
Camping skills, best practices, hacks
Master putting up and taking down various tents and shelters
Learn sleep systems including hammocks, cots, and different types of sleeping pads and bags
Practice camp cooking and backwoods nutrition
Skills of backpacking including weight distribution, essential gear, proper clothing and more
Survival skills including shelter building, water filtration and purification, fire staring, and more
Common and useful knots
Safety and First Aid
Socialize with Friends:
Organized Activities and Lessons
Board/Card Games, Multi-player Video Games, Outside and Water Games
Team-Building and Leadership Challenges
Outdoor-themed Crafts and Activities
